JV men fall to New Waverly in season finale

The JV Bison men finished their season with a tough opponent, the New Waverly Bulldogs. Austin Rayborn sparked the Bison to a 10-7 lead after the first quarter. The Bulldogs found their stride in the second period and pulled ahead 21-13 by halftime. NWHS outscored the Bison in the second half to win the contest, 55-31.
Travis Cunningham led the Bison scorers with 11, including a pair of three-pointers in the fourth quarter. Rayborn followed with 11 points and also had a pair of treys in the first half. Jordan Nix led in rebounds and had 6 points. Dylan Laningham added 4 points.
Several of the JV men moved up to play with the Varsity against West Sabine on Saturday: Travis Cunningham, Ty Tollett, Jordan Nix, and Dylan Laningham.
