The Buffalo AARP Club met on February 16 at the Civic Center for a pot luck luncheon and their regular monthly meeting. Linda Woodson was sworn in as the Chapter's president, Dorothy Bottoms as acting first vice president, and Sue Glass as assistant treasurer. The meeting included the regular monthly reports and the guest speaker was member Hazel Creamer, who gave a lively report of her experience of shooting a trophy buck -- at age 91.
Jewett Brookshires manager Gilbert Garcia had donated several bunches of beautiful Valentine roses which were given as door prizes, and the Stagecoach Deli in Buffalo donated a $10 gift certificate which was won by Dave Cooper.
The Buffalo chapter of AARP is composed of seniors who are active as volunteers making a difference in our community. They meet at noon on the third Tuesday of each month for fellowship and an educational or entertaining program. Guests are always welcome and you do not need to be a member of the national organization to participate. Mark your calendar and come for the fellowship.
