H. L. Muirheid

Graveside services for Mr. H. L. Muirheid, 91, were held on Wednesday, February 11, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Little Flock Cemetery near Jewett. Bro. James Engle officiated.

Mr. Muirheid passed away at his residence in Jewett on Monday, February 8, 2010.

He was born in Oklahoma and moved to Texas in the 1950’s. Mr. Muirheid worked as a chemical researcher for Dow Chemical Co. in Freeport for over thirty years before retiring in 1982. He moved to Jewett in 1995. Mr. Muirheid enjoyed working in his yard.

He was a Baptist, having been ordained as a deacon in Oyster Creek, TX many years ago.

Mr. Muirheid is survived by two daughters, Linda Ruthenborg & husband Pete of Jewett, and Debbie Seay of Gladewater; one son, Omer Muirheid & wife Liz of Jewett; one step-daughter, Jeanette Frank & husband Allen of Danbury; numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Opal Gibson and his brothers Vilas and Garland Muirheid.
