Fatality accident on FM 1511

One Centerville man lost his life and a second was seriously injured on Friday afternoon when their pickup trucks collided head-on on FM1511 just south of CR 228 near the Flo community.

Pronounced dead at the scene of the fiery collision was 65-year-old Donald Lee Riley, driver of the blue '93 Chevy pickup.

The accident occured at 3:46 p.m. on February 12th. DPS investigators reported that Riley's northbound pickup drifted into the southbound lane where it struck the Center Ranch's 2008 Ford and trailer driven by James Daniel Dickson, age 50. Centerville JP Jack Keeling and members of the Centerville VFD responded. Dickson was transported to East Texas Medical in Crockett with injuries including fractures to ribs and his leg. Riley's body was taken to Walters Funeral Home in Centerville.
