      To assist new gardeners in learning fundamental skills, The Texas Agrilife Extension Service Master Gardeners in Leon County and Bo Bo’s Nursery will host a Basic Gardening Seminar from 10a.m. to 12noon on Friday, Feb. 26, at Bo Bo’s Nursery, located on Hwy 79 between Buffalo and Jewett, Texas.

     AUSTIN – (Feb. 8, 2010) For the week ending Feb. 6, feeder cattle price trends at Texas auctions were again mixed, from $4 lower to $4 higher per hundredweight compared to a week earlier. Wet conditions hindered livestock movement and many auctions had very light volumes for sale. Fed cattle prices were more than $1 higher in spite of lower beef values.

Extremely wet conditions cause hardship for some
      COLLEGE STATION - - When it comes to moisture, from one side of the state to the other, it ranged from extremely wet to extremely dry, according to a Texas AgriLife Extension Service expert. But in Texas, weather extremes are the norm, said Dr. Andy Vestal, director of AgriLife Extension’s Homeland Security and Emergency Management program.
