Lyndell David (Moe) Robertson
Visitation was held on Friday with the family present from 5:30p.m. until 7:30p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Robertson passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Lyndell David Robertson was born in Crockett on March 5, 1962, to Geneva & Thomas James (T.J.) Robertson Sr. At the energetic and adventuresome age of two, he was nicknamed Geronimo after the elusive Apache warrior. Later Geronimo was shortened to Moe and stayed with him all his life. From his early childhood, he was fascinated with tractors and as an adult, he spent many hours on tractors plowing, planting and mowing. He attended Mexia High School and later returned to reside on the family farm in Leon County. Lyndell David enjoyed the outdoors and caring for his animals. He enjoyed sitting around the campfire with his brother and friends discussing the imperfections of politicians. Lyndell David was a loving son and baby brother. He is survived by his loving mother, Geneva Robertson of Jewett; one brother, Terry Robertson & wife Kay of Nederland; two sisters, Beth Guidry & husband Dennis of Port Neches, and Nancy Kiker & husband Bobby of Silsbee; two nieces, Charlotte Rucker and Monica Kiker; two nephews, Jerry Robertson and Travis Guidry; great nieces and nephews, McKenzie, Bailey, Brinkley, Anthony and Cole; aunt, Pat Sullivan; uncle, David Grayson & wife Judy; numerous cousins and friends. Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his father, T.J. Robertson Sr.; one brother, Tommy Robertson; maternal grandparents, Ernest & Opal Grayson; paternal grandfather, Tom Robertson; and paternal grandmother, Annie Robertson Montgomery; uncles, Clifford Robertson, Lewis Grayson, Cameron Grayson, Ernest C. Grayson, and Lawrence Sullivan; aunts, Jeanette Grayson and Nell Grayson; and several cousins.
