Centerville calls general election for May 8, 2010
      The City of Centerville held its regular Council meeting on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Municipal Building Meeting Room. All Council members were present with the exception of Bobby Walters.

Leon High Band members work to earn way to Branson
      Leon High School Band Director Bill Boyle is getting ready to take his Leon Band to Branson, Missouri to participate in contests and entertainment. Boyle says the trip will cost $600.00 per student. He and parents are providing ways for each child to earn his/her way.

      Oakwood Cub Scout Pack 610 held it’s 4th Annual Pinewood/Big Daddy Derbies. This year there were six Cub Scouts and six adult partners entered in the races.

      Buffalo Flower and Gift opened with the grand unveiling aided by Buffalo Chamber of Commerce on February 5th, midday. Owner Glenda Boykin and Partner/daughter Brandy Guyton are the proud owners who started the business with no more than an accumulative ten dollars. Their business is truly an inspirational story. Public Library participates in program to improve library’s internet connections
