Tri-County Tea Party planned

With the Primary Election just a few weeks away, a State Candidate Forum/ Debate, sponsored by the Leon, Madison, and Houston County Tea Party groups, will be conducted on Wednesday, February 17th, at 5:30 p.m. at the Jewett Civic Center.

Candidates for the state offices of Governor, Senate and State Representative will participate in a forum and debate.

Campaign representatives will speak for the guber- natorial candidates. Grimes and Anderson Counties have also been invited to participate.

Sandwiches, chips and drinks will be available for purchase, beginning at 5:30 p.m. when the doors open.

Special music will be presented by the group Sweet Harmony, for about 45 minutes before the meeting begins. This group of talented ladies will sing some old favorite songs, and then get the audience involved in singing some patriotic songs.

Those attending will have an opportunity to meet and visit with the candidates prior to the forum/debate which will be kicked off at 7 p.m. by motivational speaker, Anne Mezone. Originially Ms. Mezone was to speak at the Tea Party Patriots meeting on February 1, but was unable to due to illness. Following the forum/ debate, members of the audience will have an opportunity to submit written questions to all the candidates.
