Neches Tigers take down the Oakwood Panthers

The OHS boys varsity basketball team traveled over to Neches last Tuesday. The score at the end of the first quarter was 11-17. Oakwood was only slightly behind. During the second quarter, OHS put up 9 more points on the score board to Neches' 10. Although behind at the half, they felt they still had a chance to win this game. After only scoring 8 points to the Tiger's 27 in the third quarter, that chance started to fade away. The last quarter did not help the Panthers out either. They scored 7 points to Neches' 16. Despite their efforts, the Panthers lost 35- 70 to the Tigers.

Bryson Randle put up 5 points and had three rebounds in this game. Travis Eldridge and James Edwards each picked up a rebound and Edwards got 2 points as well. Shaquille Caldwell picked up a point, 3 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Kealyne Durham put up 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks. J.P. Hicks and Cardarrell Stubblefield each caught a couple of rebounds while Hicks put up 3 points too.
