Lady Bison add two district wins
      After struggling at the start of the second half of district play, the Lady Bison rebounded last week with two wins. Buffalo defeated Onalaska 44-27 on Tuesday before scoring a 51-48 win over Centerville on Friday. At 7-4 with three district games remaining, the Lady Bison are still in the playoff hunt. Buffalo will tackle Groveton on Tuesday and host Anderson- Shiro on Friday.

JV Lady Bison Win and Lose
      The Junior Varsity Lady Bison had mixed results last week as they defeated Onalaska on Tuesday, but fell to Centerville on Friday. Bufby falo won 38-10 over the Lady Wildcats, but lost sharpshooter Courtney Cunningham to an ankle injury. On Friday, the Lady Bison fell 26-37 to the Lady Tigers.

Junior High Lady Bison undefeated in district play
      Both junior high Lady Bison basketball teams went undefeated in district play, wrapping up a perfect slate with big wins in Anderson- Shiro last Thursday night. The seventh grade cruised to a 49-8 victory. The eighth grade came away with a 29- 10 win.

Neches Tigers take down the Oakwood Panthers

      The OHS boys varsity basketball team traveled over to Neches last Tuesday. The score at the end of the first quarter was 11-17. Oakwood was only slightly behind. During the second quarter, OHS put up 9 more points on the score board to Neches' 10. Although behind at the half, they felt they still had a chance to win this game.

      The Cougars entertained the Franklin Lions on January 29 and edged the Lions 69-64. The Cougars fell behind by a point at the end of the first quarter but rallied to lead 29- 27 at the half. The Cougars were hot in the third quarter and jumped to a commanding 54-40 lead.

      The Tigers defeated New Waverly in New Waverly on January 26 but were defeated by the Buffalo Lady Bison on January 29 in Buffalo.

Centerville Tigers defeat Corrigan-Camden

      The Tigers defeated Corrigan-Camden 52-38 to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Tigers jumped to a 10-4 advantage as the first quarter ended and both teams scored 11 points in the second period. The Tigers dominated the third quarter by outscoring Camden by 12 to take a commanding 18 point lead going into the fourth quarter.
