Valentines for Veterans

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #991 and their Associates are collecting valentines, candy (regular and sugar free), small stuffed animals or anything else Valentine related for our hospitalized veterans. Donation boxes can be found at the Horses Mouth Bookstore or at the Stagecoach Deli. Please sign your cards so that they know that a REAL person is sending it, and not some company just recycling old cards. We will deliver these items to our hospitalized veterans at the VA hospital in Temple, Tx. Many of these veterans have no family and feel ignored and forgotten; you can show these brave men and women that we care, that we have NOT forgotten them. You can make a difference in their day that may be remembered for the rest of their lives.

Your valentine items can also be dropped off at the Vietnam Veterans meeting at 927 Gardner Drive in Palestine on Feb. 9th. 5:30pm. You can also call Joyce at 903-388-5552.
