Straight from The Horse’s Mouth

Laura St. John

There is more happening in and around THM than ever before.

Take for instance the new group called the "Bawdy Band of Buffalo Businesses". (BBoBB) This is a fun and creative group of local business owners who's focus is working together to brainstorm new solutions for bringing more trade to Buffalo. If you're a business owner and would like to get to know your fellow entrepreneurs, you are invited to join in. It's a traveling meeting, this month at The Stagecoach Deli at 6:00pm on Monday Feb. 22nd. It's usually a pot luck dinner affair, but Tammy and Merry are looking after the main dish; so, bring something to go along with a pot of soup. Once we get started sharing ideas we have a hard time stopping, it's a passionate group! And the food is always awesome.

THM's February will be quite a busy one. Our Scrabble Tournament has been moved to the first Tuesday of the month (Feb. 2nd). The Digital Photography Discussion Group will meet this Thursday (the 4th). Feb, 11th the Ooh! Aah! Wow! Art Group will have a Show & Tell night. New members are invited! On the 18th our Writer's Group meets and on the 19th we will host the next Open Mic Night. February 26th is the next Trivial Pursuit Game Night/Pot Luck Dinner. The foodie theme this month, since it's February, is The Foods of Romance. That should be really interesting! (All events begin at 6:00pm)

With a full schedule of working the store all day, running all the after hours events and raising a new puppy (Java, for those of you who haven't met yet) I am very lucky to have my son, Craig, full time at THM, now. He is training on the espresso machine, doing geeky things like fixing lap tops and home computers, and making life a lot easier for me (until his grad school starts in the fall).
