Junior Varsity Lady Bison pick up two more wins

Raven Lott scores two for BHS. Raven Lott scores two for BHS. The junior varsity Lady Bison picked up two wins last week. Buffalo held Trinity to single digits in every quarter on their way to a 45-12 victory. The Lady Bison scored a second win over New Waverly 41-21.

Buffalo ripped the nets for seventeen first quarter points Tuesday night while holding Trinity to four. The Lady Bison added another five in the second quarter to lead 22-5 at the half. The third quarter was another lopsided affair as Buffalo poured in another fifteen points to Trinity’s three. The Lady Bison doubled the Lady Tigers output in the fourth for the 45-12 fi- nal.

Courtney Cunningham and Samantha Atkinson led the Lady Bison with thirteen and ten points, respectively. Ana Lopez, Raven Lott and Angeles Valles-Villa netted six points apiece. Emily Grissett added four.

The Lady Bison took the lead early in New Waverly and never looked back. Buffalo scored nine points in each of the first two quarters to lead 18- 13 at the break. The Lady Bison held the Lady Bulldogs scoreless in the third period while adding a dozen points for a 30-13 advantage. Buffalo tallied eleven in the fourth for the 41-21 final.

Balanced scoring was key in the win. Lott and Grissett scored nine and eight points, respectively, to lead the Lady Bison. Cunningham and Atkison totaled seven and six points. Kylen Armstrong popped in five points. Valles-Villa, Heather Egan and Haley Ellison contributed two points each.
