Dogwood Tree Sale - March 20th The Annual Dogwood Tree Sale will be conducted on the first Saturday of the Dogwood Trails Festival. This year, the Anderson County Master Gardeners will move the location of the dogwood tree sale to the County Extension Office [Old Federal Building] downtown in the main festival area. Stop by and visit with the Master Gardener, let them answer your gardening questions, pick out your dogwood tree and then simply drive by and pick it up when you are ready to leave the festival. Purchasing a Dogwood Tree not only beautifies your home, it promotes the tourism in Anderson County and provides funding to conduct horticulture educational programs and projects. Using Native Plants in Landscaping / Nature Walk - March 25th Dogwood Season is the perfect time to take a walk in the woods and to learn about using native plants in Landscaping. On the evening of March 25th, join the Master Gardeners for the Lynn O’Daniels Series Nature Walk and learn about landscaping with what grows here naturally. Due to our colder than normal Winter; we are going to find many of our non-native plants missing from our Spring landscape. Come, take a walk, and lets talk about some tried & true East Texas plants.
