Officer Haynie to Commerce Street for gas driveoff. Upon arrival, officer spoke with clerk regarding a Freightliner having exited the fuel station without driver paying for fuel.
Clerk was unsure which direction driver had gone. Info was broadcast by LCSO dispatch but subject was not located. Case number was issued and no other police action was taken.
Officer Hutchison to Gene Street for loud music. Upon arrival, officer located source of music and advised resident to turn it down. Resident complied but resident’s girlfriend complained about upstairs neighbor vacuuming late at night and that she could play music to get back at that neighbor if she liked. Officer advised her that they were receiving a verbal warning only but could receive a citation if music continued to be a nuisance. Cleared as info.
Officer Hutchison to Avant Street for possible assault and theft. EMS was en-route. Upon arrival, officer located juvenile who advised that grandmother had attempted to throw a bottle of lotion at her. After further investigation, it was determined that no criminal offense had occurred. Suspect complained of back pain and was transported to ETMC in Fairfield. Cleared as info.
Officer Hutchison to Jewett for agency assist. Officer was contacted by JPD Officer O’Reilly requesting assistance with subject whom he stopped on a traffic violation. Subject had made threats to intentionally harm himself. Subject’s vehicle was impounded and upon being advised of the fees for towing, subject began to beat his head on the patrol car. Subject was restrained by both officers until JPD Chief Navarro arrived to assist. Subject was transported to Madisonville MHMR services for further evaluation.
Officer Hutchison to Commerce Street for business alarm. Upon arrival, officer checked facility and found it secure. Prior to receiving call, officer had observed janitorial crew conducting maintenance inside the establishment. Cleared as info.
Sgt Ferrand to IH 45 for agency assist with minor crash. No DPS units were available to work crash. Crash report was filed.
Sgt Ferrand to Commerce Street for possible reckless driver. Officer waited at city limits for vehicle traveling from Oakwood but was unable to locate vehicle fitting description.
Officer Mouton to Brown Chapel for unwanted person. Upon arrival, officer spoke with resident who claimed a male subject knocked on his door and was demanding entry. Resident informed subject he was calling police and the subject left.
Officer Haynie to Michael Ave for possible overdose. EMS was on scene upon officer’s arrival. Victim stated that she had only taken her prescribed medication and did not need medical attention.
Officer Haynie to IH 45 for possible intoxicated driver. Officer made contact with driver of 18 wheeler who advised that he had just been through a DPS weight inspection point in Ennis and was going to stop in Centerville for a brief rest.
