On the last day of the 2009-2010 deer season during the last hour of the season, Hazel Creamer, age 91, bagged an eight point buck on the outskirts of Buffalo. Hazel was hunting on her sonin law and daughter's, Jack and Karen Helmcamp's, land. Hazel reported, "Eight bucks came out but I had no difficulty deciding which one to take!" She further exclaimed, "That's the biggest buck I ever shot!". Hazel and Harold Creamer have been living in Buffalo for the past 1-1/2 years but have been visiting the area for almost forty years. Earlier, both Hazel and Harold hunted in various areas in West Texas, however, Hazel's biggest trophy was bagged right here in the middle of Leon County. Congratulations, Hazel, Good Job!
