OHS Boys Basketball update...

Oakwood played against the Laneville Yellow Jackets on Tuesday night on their home court. It didn't however, give them the advantage. This was a hard game. It was a rough game. The score at the end of the first quarter was 9-25 going to Laneville. OHS scored another 14 points in the second quarter but with Laneville picking up 12 more, they were still behind. Back from the half, the Panthers only picked up 5 points to the Yellow Jackets 15. The last quarter saw the Panthers trying to make a come back. Unfortunately, they fell short, only picking up 10 points to Laneville's 17. The end score of 38-69really stung!

Bryson Randle picked up 3 points in this game. Travis Eldridge put up 5 points and had a rebound. Kealyne Durham not only put up an amazing 23 points in this game but slam dunked twice! He also picked up 6 rebounds. J.P. Hicks got 5 points and 4 rebounds. Cardarrell Stubblefield picked up a couple of points, as did James Edwards. Stub- blefield picked up 3 rebounds and Edwards picked up one.

VERSUS SLOCUM

The Oakwood boys traveled down to Slocum on Friday. They left there empty handed. The score in the first quarter was 12-13, Slocum, and things weren't looking bad for the Panthers. All that changed in the second quarter when they only managed 2 points to Slocum's 20! After the half, OHS picked up only 6 to Slocum's 17 points. The Panthers gave it their all in the last quarter but still fell short with 14 to Slocum's 17 points. The end score was a dismal 34-67.

Bryson Randle and Damine Purvis each put up a couple of baskets paired with a couple of rebounds. Stubblefield pulled down 4 rebounds and Eldridge picked up 3. Edwards got 4 points and 3 rebounds. Shaquille Caldwell got 5 points and a couple of rebounds. Durham had another amazing night with 21 points and 6 rebounds.
