JV Lady Bison Win Two

The junior varsity Lady Bison scored two wins last week to finish out the first half of district play at 6-1. Buffalo rolled off ten unanswered points in the first quarter and added nine in the second. The Lady Owls managed a single field goal the first half to trail 19-2 at the half. Anderson- Shiro regrouped at the half to match the Lady Bison’s thirteen point second half performance for the 32-15 final.
Courtney Cunningham poured in twelve points to lead the Lady Bison offensively. Kylen Armstrong turned in a season high eight points. Emily Grissett tallied six. Raven Lott connected for four points, and Angeles Valles-Villa added two.
Corrigan-Camden brought a scrappy pack to Buffalo on Friday. The Lady Bison eased ahead 16-11 after the first quarter. A big second quarter gave Buffalo a 29-15 halftime advantage. The Lady Bulldogs could not buy a basket in the third while Buffalo added another ten points for a 39-15 advantage entering the final six minutes. The Lady Bison set the cruise and coasted to a 43-29 victory.

Lott ripped the nets for sixteen points to match the Lady Bulldogs top performer. Samantha Atkinson, Heather Egan and Zelneisha Lockett contributed six points apiece. Ana Lopez tossed in four while Cunningham added three. Armstrong tacked on two.
