Flo Water votes to drill Weedon well The Directors of Flo Community Water Supply Corp. moved ahead with several important items at their regular monthly meeting at Celebration Church at six P.M. on Thursday, January 14. The long awaited vote to begin drilling a new well in the Weedon area was passed unanimously. Drilling by Womble Drilling is expected to start within six weeks. The Board heard a good report from Alton Thiele, P.C. Certified Public Accountant of Belton, that their audit had been completed and no deficiencies or weaknesses were noted. They were told that on September 30, 2009 the Corporation had unrestricted funds available in the operating accounts in the amount of $185,083. The Board was presented with a letter of intent from Rodell Water Supply, Inc (RWSI) stating that they wished to purchase water from Flo Water as soon as it became available from the new well. The letter also included the following paragraph; “Furthermore, it is the intent of RWSI to transfer all its operations, assets, hold- ings and easements to FWSC (Flo Water) at a mutually agreeable time………..After the transfer, FWSC would be the sole owner and operator of RWSI.” The Directors continued to table any action on policy toward minimum use commercial facilities in relation to the double hook up rule pending a study of the tariff. A forty-five minute executive session regarding personnel matters ended with the board taking no action. |
