LCRTA meets for first meeting in 2010

Contributed photo The Leon County Retired Teachers Association will meet for their January meeting on Wednesday, January 27 in Centerville at the Municipal Building at 12:00 pm. Lunch will be served by January hostesses Carol Ball, Dorothy Bottoms, and Beth Jones.

The program entitled "Caring for People God's Way will be presented by Norma Threet. LCRTA members are asked to put this date on their calendars. Friends of education are welcomed to attend.

In December the LCRTA met on December 16th for a Christmas luncheon celebration at Hilltop Lakes. Members attending brought donations for the Leon County Child Welfare Board to help with their distribution of Christmas gifts to children in Leon County.

The Leon County Retired Teachers Association meets monthly September through May of each year. Any retired or retired active public school personnel or retired personnel from institutions of higher education are invited to attend the meetings and become members of the Texas Retired Teachers Association. Friends of education may also join as associate members.
