Buffalo Council to revisit mobile home ordinance

By Mac Shadix

In a brief meeting at the Senior Center on Monday night January 11th the Buffalo City Council put the city’s mobile home ordinance on the agenda for next meeting at the urging of Councilman Tim Ezell. The action followed a discussion of the exact requirements of the current ordinance.

City Secretary Debbie Waters reported that tax collections were proceeding at a normal rate. Walters reported the new software was making it much easier and more effective to keep up with the current status.

The Council approved a previously budgeted payment of $13,800 to the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce.

The public works projects now underway in the city are nearing completion, according to Chuck Overbeck and Lanny Buck, with some just needing the final clean up and inspection and another within a month to a monthand a-half of completion. The west side sewer projects will reduce the amount of pumping necessary and will take care of current and future needs, Overbeck said.
