Nancy C. Posey Kiker

Graveside services for Mrs. Nancy Kiker, age 63, were held Friday, January 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Concord Cemetery. Mrs. Kiker passed away December 30, 2009 at the Madisonville Care Center in Madisonville. She was born in Teague, but raised in Texas City. Mrs. Kiker worked for the Shipyard, an Insurance Company, and as a loan officer for the C.E. Federal Credit Union in the Houston for several years before moving to Centerville in the early 1980’s and went to work for the City of Centerville as the Tax Assessor and Collector. She loved her job and loved the people of Centerville and always strived to do the best for them. Mrs. Kiker was a Baptist by Faith.

She is survived by her daughter Leigh Ann Ross & husband Curtis of Centerville; two granddaughters, Megan Ross of Centerville & Kaysha Thomson of Santa Fe; her mother Imogene Posey of Centerville; her sister Brenda Beeler & husband Bob of Centerville; and her two brothers Richard Posey of Centerville and Carl Posey, Jr.& wife Marilyn of Robbins; four nieces, Melissa Mc- Queary, Rebecca Williams, Tammy Ginsel & husband Keith, & Tara Posey; and two nephews, Sam Posey and Michael Posey; other relatives and friends.
