Matthew Cody “Matt” Johnson

Funeral services for Matthew Cody “Matt” Johnson, age 30, of Centerville were held Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 11 AM at the Rising Sun Cowboy Church in Trinity, Texas. Pastor Ron Conatser officiated. Public visitation

Matt Johnson was born in Conroe, Texas on May 22, 1979. His mother passed away when he was three and his Grandma Shirley and Aunt Tami raised him until the age of 13. He then lived with Pastor Ron and Jo Conatser at the Rising Sun Cowboy Church in Trinity until he graduated from Trinity High School. On June 7, 2003, he married Amanda Foster. They lived in New Caney and then moved to Centerville. At the time of his death, he was working as a heavy equipment operator for Calvin Zoch Construction. He died late Sunday evening, December 27th, in a one vehicle accident on FM 1119.

Surviving family includes his wife, Amanda Johnson of Centerville; two daughters, Hannah Johnson and Bailey Johnson of Centerville; a baby on the way; maternal grandmother, Shirley Vohsen of Trinity; a half sister, Brandi Easterling of Centerville and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
