Sgt Ferrand to Commerce Street for disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, officer met with manager regarding a group of young people causing a disturbance involving one of her employees. The group was gone upon arrival. Officer spoke with victim who said she had been threatened and cursed at and wanted to file charges.
Sgt Ferrand to Commerce Street for welfare concern. Officer was contacted regarding a stranded motorist that had called a family member after having his car breakdown on the road. Caller was unsure where brother was. Officer searched the area but was unable to locate. Short time later, LCSO received call that subject was in Brookshire Brothers. Officer made contact with subject but manager at store had already called for help so officers help was not needed. Cleared as info.
Sgt Ferrand to IH 45 for possible intoxicated driver. Officer responded to IH 45 regarding a possible intoxicated driver. Officer waited for vehicle described by witnesses that were following it and in contact with LCSO dispatch. Vehicle was located and observed. After vehicle exited onto Commerce Street, officer stopped and found subject crying and upset. It was determined that the subject had medical issues and father was contacted. Subject was transported to Comfort Inn at the request of her father. Cleared as info.
Sgt Ferrand to Commerce Street for criminal mischief. Upon arrival, officer met with Reportee regarding suspect(s) having spray painted the side of his building. Remains under investigation.
While patrolling traffic in the Buffalo Elementary school zone on Commerce Street, Sgt Ferrand attempted to stop vehicle that was speeding. Vehicle refused to stop. After a total of three police units responded the vehicle finally stopped outside of Oakwood. Driver was arrested for Fleeing from a Police Officer and transported to LCSO jail.
Officer Hutchison contacted by LCSO via telephone regarding a caller who wished to report a verbal altercation that had occurred. Officer made contact with the caller who said she had been accused of stealing loose coins and a lighter from a residence for which she had been house sitting. Officer documented call and cleared as info.
Officer Hutchison to Craig Drive for suspicious person. Suspect was gone upon arrival.
Officer Hutchison to Buffalo Avenue for possible overdose. Upon arrival, officer was joined by Lt Jefferson. Officer made contact with subject who smelled strongly of alcohol and became combative while being interviewed. EMS was called while officer restrained subject. Subject was treated by EMS and eventually transported to hospital for further evaluation. Investigation revealed a number of pills missing from subject’s new prescription. Weapon was taken from residence for safety purposes and would be retrieved at later date. Officer assisted in escorting subject to hospital.
Officer Hutchison to IH 45 for agency assist. Officer secured scene until EMS could arrive to assess victim of a possible allergic reaction.
Officer Mouton to Commerce Street for suspicious person in business. It was reported that subject entered Dollar General asking for something for pain because he had been shot in the leg. Officer patrolled the area looking for subject matching description but unable to locate. Further info was given that subject did not want medical service and didn’t appear to be bleeding.
Officer Mouton, on a traffic stop, arrested subject with outstanding warrant in Smith County for Aggravated Assault. Subject transported to LCSO jail. Assisted by Sgt Ferrand.
Officer Mouton to IH 45 for agency assist on minor crash. LCSO contacted officer regarding a minor crash just inside Freestone County on interstate. Officer located vehicle and requested dispatch to contact Freestone County Sherriff’s Dept and DPS. Driver had already contacted a wrecker service who was standing by. Call cleared.
Officer Hutchison to Commerce Street for civil standby. Officer was contacted to meet subject at Moble fuel station. Upon arrival, subject requested civil standby. Officer advised subject that Buffalo PD does not conduct civil standbys. Cleared as info.
Officer Hutchison to Merrill Street for possible theft and threats. Upon arrival, officer spoke with Complainant regarding juvenile entering into his backyard, taking his son’s property, and threatening him. Complainant had already retrieved the property and wanted officer to make contact with juvenile and advise him to stay off his property. Officer located juvenile on Knox Street and advised him of such.
Officer Mouton on Commerce Street for stranded motorist at fuel station. Officer met with driver who claimed his vehicle had struck something on IH 45 and was disabled. Officer transported driver and family to local hotel for the night.
Officer Mouton to Buffalo Junior High for 911 hangup. Officer found no vehicles around building and doors secure. Call cleared.
