Buffalo Elementary makes staff changes
Jill Jones
Buffalo Elementary has made some staffing changes due to the mid-term resignation of Shelly Nunley, whose family has relocated away from the area. Long time aide Alisia Folsom will be moving over to fill Nunley’s position as Tier II Reading Instructor, working with kindergarten through third graders. Folsom will be completing her studies for her degree as a certified teacher this spring.
Jill Jones joins the BES staff as a long-term substitute and will complete the spring semester as the RTI (Response to Intervention) math aide, working directly with students needing one-on-one help in mathematics. Her students will benefit from what Jill considers her strong suite in the classroom, “the ability to build strong relationships with my students.”
Ms. Jones is a Weatherford native and 2003 graduate of Weatherford High School. She earned her teaching certificate at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, majoring in elementary education and graduating in May of 2009. While in Stephenville, Jill met her fiance, Buffalo’s John Arbor, and she moved to Buffalo last summer. She has been subbing at Buffalo Junior High during the fall 2000 semester.
