Leon and Madison County Tea Party Groups to Meet

"Meet the Candidates" is the forum for a joint meeting of the Leon County and Madison County Tea Party groups. The meeting is set for Tuesday, January 12 at the Kimbro Center, located on the south side of the square in downtown Madisonville.

Candidates for U S Repr District 17, currently held by Chet Edwards, include Rob Curnock, Timo- thy Delasandro, Bill Flores, Dave McIntyre and Chuck Wislon. Candidates for Senate District 5 are the incumbent, Steve Ogden, and his challenger, Ben Bius. The candidates will present their platforms and will also respond to written questions from the audience.

The doors open at 5 p.m. at the Kimbro Center and food will be available for purchasing. There will be a time to meet and visit with all the candidates before the meeting begins at 7 p.m.

This joint meeting provides an excellent opportunity for all Leon and Madison County residents to meet the candidates in both of these important races and to ask any pertinent questions. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
