JV Bison dominate Norm’gee Panthers

BHS Freshman Tate Hartley poured in 15 points in the JV win over Normangee, including three from beyond the arc. Van’Go’photo Austin Rayborn and Tate Hartley knocked down a couple of three-pointers in the opening moments of the Buffalo/Normangee JV game, setting the tone for the rest of the contest. Buffalo, led by Travis Cunningham's 9 first-quarter points, dominated the Panthers 22-2 after one period, 30-6 at the half, 38-14 after three and cruised on to a 48-21 victory.

The Bison spread their points out, with three men in double figures. Hartley finished with 15 points, included three treys, and had 2 steals. Cunningham finished with 11 points. Dylan Laningham added 10 points and 7 rebounds. Rayborn had 7 points, two steals and plenty of hustle. Mario Cortez pulled down six boards. Jordan Nix scored 3 poitns and had 4 rebounds. Colton Morman added a bucket.

The JV team will resume play with a district game on January 5 at Centerville. Tipoff is set for 5:30.
