Varsity Bison improve season record to 6-6
      The Buffalo Bison worked in one game in the week before Christmas, hosting Normangee in a nondistrict contest. The team appears to be finding their groove. The Bison improved their season record to 6-6 with a win over the Panthers.

JV Bison dominate Norm’gee Panthers
      Austin Rayborn and Tate Hartley knocked down a couple of three-pointers in the opening moments of the Buffalo/Normangee JV game, setting the tone for the rest of the contest. Buffalo, led by Travis Cunningham's 9 first-quarter points, dominated the Panthers 22-2 after one period, 30-6 at the half, 38-14 after three and cruised on to a 48-21 victory.

Lady Bison off to a good start at Rosebud-Lott tournament
      The Lady Bison are in tournament play at Rosebud- Lott this week (December 28-30). They opened with a 61-42 come-from-behind win over Axtell on Monday morning, and play the winner of the Holland/Rosebud- Lott at 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday. Nelson named Academic All American
      Buffalo’s Chad Nelson, a freshman at Lon Morris College in Jacksonville and member of the cross country team, was named an Academic All American for the fall semester. Nelson who is majoring in speech/communication, carried a 4.0 GPA to earn the recognition. Nelson is a 2008 graduate of Buffalo High School.

Leon Cougars maul the Latexo Tigers
      The Leon Cougars upped their record to 9-5 for the season with a convincing win over the Latexo Tigers on December 28th. The Cougars had a slim three-point lead after the first quarter and increased it to a 34-26 advantage at the half. The Cougars erupted for 22 points in the third quarter to take a commanding 56-33 lead going into the fourth quarter, then coasted to the 70-44 victory.
