Paul’s Photo The Lady Cougars got off to a good start as they hosted a tall and talented team from Crockett on December 15th and came away with a 55-48 victory. Crockett had definite height advantage and was more physical but the Lady Cougars had speed and quickness on their side. LHS repeatedly scored on fast breaks and their quick hands resulted in many steals throughout the game.

CHS jumped ahead 10-5 after the first quarter and it looked like a long night ahead for the Cougars but they rallied in the second quarter and grabbed a 22-21 lead at half time. The game was deadlocked at 28 at the end of the third quarter but the Cougars erupted for 27 points in the fourth quarter to come away with the win 55-48.

Allison Carrigan hit 2 three-pointers within a minute in the fourth quarter and the Cougars were great from the free throw line to seal the victory.
