The Music Department of Buffalo ISD presented their Winter Concert on Sunday afternoon, December 13 for a full house at the BHS auditorium. In a pair of City Council Meetings, Oakwood has hired a new part-time police officer, Skip Young and a new City Secretary, Shannon Nicholson. Stacy Salguero will stay on in her current position as Court Clerk but will hand over the reigns to Nicholson once she has trained her to take over as the City Secretary. The Centerville Independent School District Board of Trustees held its regular meeting on December 16, 2009 in the CHS Library. All Board members were present with the exception of Charles Nash. More ... Last Monday, December 14th, the Centerville Senior Class held a meeting discussing upcoming fundraisers. The next few weeks the seniors will be selling Steak Dinner tickets at one hundred dollars. One ticket is good for two plates, and the dinner will be held in the Centerville High School Gym. All earnings will go directly to the Centerville's Senior Class Project Graduation Fund. More ... Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church presented a live nativity on Sunday, evening December 21. Buffalo’s little Christmas parade had ended with Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving in style -- chauffered on the back of the community’s biggest fire truck.
