Lady Bison show promise
      The Lady Bison dropped their first district game on Tuesday in Trinity, but play in the Centerville Tournament over the weekend showed promise. Buffalo dropped a close contest to a strong Cayuga team on Thursday before defeating Centerville on Friday. The Lady Bison lost the championship game to Leon on Saturday.

      The Bison varsity and junior varsity men hosted the Cougars of Rosebud-Lott on Tuesday at the BHS gym, and the home teams came away with both victories. VARSITY

     TOURNAMENT ACTION GAME ONE The Bison varsity men competed in Centerville's NHS Tournament last weekend and logged two victories before coming up against the host Tigers in the Championship match on Saturday afternoon.

      The JV Bison men were eliminated early in the Hearne JV tournament after they dropped backto back games to Franklin and Navasota.

Junior High Lady Bison still untested
      The junior high Lady Bison picked up two more wins last Monday night when Onalaska came to Buffalo. The seventh grade won 30-9, and the eighth grade won 29- 12. The seventh grade played shutout defense the first half while cruising to a 17-0 lead. The Lady Bison outscored the Lady Wildcats thirteen to nine the second half for the 30-9 final.

      The Centerville ladies started the month with a successful week as they defeated Bremond, Bryan JV, and Elkhart but suffered a defeat at the hands of Groveton.

      The Centerville Tigers won 5 games during the week including the National Honor Society tournament in Centerville on December 10-12.

Leon Lady Cougars win Centerville tournament
      The Lady Cougars began the week on a sour note by losing to Wortham 40-30 on December 8th. The Cougars rebounded to sweep 3 games on December 10-12 to win the National Honor Society tournament held in Centerville.

This week in OHS Boys B-Ball...
      Oakwood's Boys Varsity basketball team has had a busy week. They traveled to Malakoff Tuesday to play against Cross Roads. They were missing several players on this trip and, unfortunately, they didn't win. The end score was 37-51. Bryson Randle had 7 points and 4 rebounds. Zach Bynum had a couple of points and rebounds. Robert Myrick picked up a rebound J.P.

      Oakwood's Girls Varsity Basketball Team defeated Latexo last Tuesday night. And what a relief it was! The girls have been on a nasty losing streak lately.
