Mildred Louise (LeGallez) Harlan

Funeral services for Mildred Louise (LeGallez) Harlan, age 72, of Buffalo, Texas were held 10:00 am. Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo and interment was in the Buffalo City Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Gilmore of the Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church officiated the service. Walters Buffalo Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mildred was born in Buffalo, Texas to Oren Bates and Hetty (Kilgore) LeGallez.

She was born and raised in Buffalo, graduated from high school, married and had children. She continued her education and was a xray technician in hospitals in Bryan, Fairfield, Palestine, Navasota, Temple, and Dallas. The last twenty years she had lived in Bryan and Palestine. She enjoyed painting on China and Porcelain, and she loved remodeling her home. She loved to read and watch movies on TV. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Harlan; and brother, Oren Bates LeGallez, Jr. Mildred passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 in a hospital in Tyler, Texas.

Survivors include her two sons, James “Jimmy” Stanton, Jr. and wife, Martha of Groesbeck, Texas, and Thomas Stanton and wife, Pam of Buffalo, Texas; one brother, Walter LeGallez and wife, Mary Helen of Buffalo, Texas; and one sister, Mary Merriman of Buffalo, Texas; four grandchildren, James Stanton III “Gabe” of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Stephanie Stanton , Shelby Stanton, and Spencer Stanton of Buffalo; three great -grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb, and Serra.

The pallbearers were Homer Merriman, Lance Le- Galley, Wendell LeGalley, Jeremy LeGalley, Thomas Hammond, and Keith Tilley.

Funeral Services were under the direction of Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo.
