Carol Freeman

Funeral services for Mrs. Carol Freeman, 72, were held on Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 2:00p.m. at 8th Ave. Baptist Church in Teague. Bro. Steve Cowart and Bro. Paul Pryor officiated. Interment followed the services at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague.

Visitation was held on Friday from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Carol Ann Kitchner Freeman, 72, of Teague passed away on December 9 at Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas. Carol Ann was born in Teague on August 30, 1937 to Mac & Louise Hallum Kitchner. She grew up in Teague and was in the THS graduating class of 1954. She married J.B. “Buck” Freeman on July 10, 1955. She attended Eighth Avenue Baptist Church. She was a daughter, wife, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a successful business woman as she began “Carol’s Answering Service” in 1978 with only one customer. Thirty one years later she has customers from the North Coast to the West Coast.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of fiftyfour years Buck Freeman of Teague; three daughters, Lou Ann Pryor & husband Paul of Freestone, Susan Jennings & husband Mike of Eureka, and Patti Martin of Teague; six grandchildren, Christopher Corley of Teague, Lee Pryor of Freestone, Jessica Shamburger & husband Cory of Teague, Jeremy Pryor of Freestone, Kasi Martin of Fairfield & Kortni Martin of Teague; two great-grandchildren Cade & Hayden Corley; numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-inlaw, one special dog “Toy” and many special friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her father Mac Kitchner, mother Louise Hallum Kitchner and older brother Robert M. Kitchner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Eighth Avenue Baptist Church, 201 S. 8th Ave, Teague, TX 75860.
