Two sentenced in 278th District Court

Whitney T. Smith, Leon County District Attorney reported the following sentences in the 278th District Court on Friday, 12-11- 2009.

The Honorable Kenneth Keeling sentenced Douglas Dewayne Marsh to life in prison for the aggravated sexual assault of a child, a felony of the first degree. Assistant District Attorney Deborah Moore conducted the hearing for the State of Texas.

District Judge Keeling also sentenced John Paul Wilkins to five years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice - Institutional Division for violating the terms and conditions of his probation. Wilkins was placed on five years community supervision in Leon County on June 16, 2006 for possession of a controlled substance.
