Jo Ann Ferguson

Funeral services for Jo Ann Ferguson, age 62 of Buffalo were held 2 pm Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas. Thomas Middlebrook officiated the services and interment was in the Marquez Cemetery.

Jo Ann was born December 12, 1946 in Houston, Texas to William W. and Etta (Penrod) Boyd. She spent most of her life in Buffalo, Texas and was a member of the Church Of Christ in Buffalo. She was a homemaker and enjoyed yard work, gardening, embroidery, and collecting books. She was a good singer and sang at many funerals. She also helped with various charity organizations including The Lord’s Pantry. She was Activity Director at the nursing home in Buffalo for several years, and also did volunteer work there. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Andy. Jo Ann passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 in Palestine, Texas.

Survivors include one sister, Darline Johnson and husband, J.W. of Buffalo, Texas; one nephew, Darwin Copeland of Dew, Texas; one niece, Reta King and husband, Ricky of Centerville, Texas; two great nieces, Sarah and Kathleen King of Centerville, Texas.

Walters Buffalo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
