Buffalo Police Report

Lance Pavelka

Officer Myrick to First Street for loud music. Upon arrival, officer advised subject to turn the music off due to time of night. Subject complied. Call cleared.

Officer Myrick to Kennard Street for loud music. Upon arrival, officer made contact with subject playing music in vehicle. Officer advised subject to turn it off. Subject complied. Call cleared.

Officer Myrick to Gene Street for loud music. Upon arrival, officer made contact with subject who advised that a party was finishing up and that they would turn it off. Call cleared.

Officer Myrick to IH 45 for debris in the roadway. Officer located a pillow and blanket and removed it from the roadway. Call cleared.

Officer Myrick to Commerce Street for suspicious persons. Officer noticed 3 subjects walking on Commerce Street. One subject appeared to be carrying a pistol in plain sight. Officer made contact with subjects and determined that the pistol was a toy. After further interview, officer advised that the toy be put away. Subject complied.

Cpl Mata to Oakwood for agency assist. Officer was contacted to assist LCSO Deputy Myers in a domestic dispute. Subject was refusing to be transported. Subject was placed in patrol vehicle and transported to Buffalo where Legacy EMS Techs evaluated subject, then he was taken to LCSO jail by deputy.

Cpl Mata to Buffalo Avenue for burglary alarm. Officer checked building and found it secure. Call cleared.

Sgt Ferrand to Highway 164 to assist motorist. Officer observed stranded motorist on Highway 164 and IH 45. Officer assisted motorist by jump starting vehicle.

Sgt Ferrand to Highway 79 for agency assist with a rollover crash. Officer was contacted to assist DPS with rollover crash due to trooper’s working other crashes. Officer responded and crash report was filed.

Officer Mouton to Commerce Street for a suspicious vehicle. Officer received call regarding a suspicious vehicle parked at Sonic Drive In. Upon arrival, officer made contact with subject who was listed as a welfare concern out of Dallas. Officer informed dispatch that subject was alright and had stopped to rest.

Sgt Ferrand to Commerce Street for follow-up on theft case. Officer met with assistant manager regarding evidence for theft investigation. Officer picked up items that were to be entered into evidence.

Sgt Ferrand to CR 355 for follow-up on stolen trailer. Victim made contact with officer at Buffalo PD regarding observing a trailer that resembled his that was stolen. Officer went to residence and spoke with owner regarding the trailer. It was determined that it was not the stolen trailer.

Sgt Ferrand to Commerce Street for special event hosted by Texas A&M Extension Agency. Officer assisted in program by explaining new seatbelt and safety seat laws and showed how safety seats are inspected. Officer inspected approximately 40 safety seats and the Extension Agency provided approximately 35 new safety seats to those persons whose were unsafe or inadequate.

Sgt Ferrand to Buffalo Avenue for burglary of a building. Officer was flagged down in Brookshire Brothers parking lot by subject who said his building had been robbed. Subject refused to file theft report and advised officer that he would be putting in a security alarm. Cleared as info.

Cpl Mata to Michael Avenue for civil dispute. Upon arrival, officer met with tenant regarding trying to retrieve mail from apartment’s post office box. Tenant had been unable to get mail from the manager. Officer advised tenant to obtain own post office box to avoid any further problems.

Cpl Mata to Marquez for agency assist. LCSO contacted officer regarding a suspicious person knocking on a residence door. Upon arrival, officer met with Officer Martinez from the US Department of Homeland Security. Officer Martinez was there to serve a Deportation Warrant to a subject residing there. Officer made contact with occupants and advised them of the warrant. Immigration officers took subject into custody. Cleared as info.

Officer Hutchison to Main Street for stranded vehicle. Officer found 18-wheeler attempting to bypass parade route stuck in ditch on corner of Main and Avant. Water Works Superintendent Roy Kingsbury was called to remove stop sign and assess damage to any culverts located there. Wrecker removed 18-wheeler and driver was issued citation. Call cleared.

Lt Jefferson to Main Street for vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officer found victim had been dragged down the driveway by vehicle. Victim received minor injuries and was treated on scene. Call cleared.

Chief Pavelka, Lt Jefferson, Officer Hutchison and Officer Haynie to Commerce Street to provide assistance with Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade.
