Centerville Lady Tigers dominate Elkhart, 52-12

The Lady Tigers defeated the Elkhart Elks 52-12 in Centerville on November 23rd. The Tigers have an up tempo offense and handle the ball very well. Several of the players finished volleyball and are now honing their basketball skills. The Tigers jumped to a 22-3 lead after the first quarter and led 39-6 at the half. The substitutes got a lot of playing time in this game and the third quarter ended with the Tigers expanding their lead to 46-8 and at the games end the Tigers had rolled to a convincing win 52-12.
Coach James Crafton suited up 13 players and 11 put points on the board. Hannah Word and Taylor Sullivan directed the Tiger’s offense and controlled the tempo of the game. They stifled the Elks with a pressure defense and smooth ball handling. Seniors Sarah Mutschler, Kelsey Lagrone , and Brittany Thomas completed volleyball and are now sharpening their basketball skills as they provide leadership for the Tigers.
The Tigers show lots of intensity on the floor, quick hands, and a fast pace offense and should be a fun team to watch as they compete for the district title this year.

The Lady Tigers travel to Bremond December 1st and compete in the North Zulch Tournament December 3-5.
