Mary Ina Parker

Funeral services for Mary Ina Parker, age 95, of Centerville, were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Ed Houk officiated the service and interment followed in the Concord Cemetery in Concord, Texas.

Mary Ina Parker was born on June 15, 1914 in Concord, Texas to David Fransis & Mary Zelma (Shuffler) Smith. She was a homemaker and a foster mother to seven children. Mrs. Parker lived in many states including California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Texas. She was an avid quilt maker and enjoyed her dogs and cats. She also enjoyed making baked goods. Mrs. Parker was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville and had lived in Centerville since June of 2002, coming from Arizona. She passed away November 24, 2009 in Centerville. Mrs. Parker is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Sam Parker.

Survivors include her son, David Parker of California; two nieces and four nephews.
