State Farm and KBTX-TV honor Meredith Shaw
      Buffalo High School senior Meredith Shaw has been named as the recipient of the 2009-10 State Farm Texas Scholar Athlete, in recognition of her outstanding achievements both in the classroom and on the competition court. Meredith will be presented with her award on December 1 before the varsity girls’ game (approximately 5:45).

Airman Dunlap graduates basic training
      Air Force Airman Andrew D. Dunlap graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
