NORTH CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH
Tom Nolen
This week there were a lot of visitors that were first time visitors but most of them were members of families of church members. The annual drive for International mission board began. The name of it is the Drive is Lottie Moon. It was named after the missionary of that name who spent much of her life in China giving herself to the work of The Southern Baptists. It is known as the Christmas offering. There are two other annual offerings consisting of the Annie Armstrong offering for missions within the continental United States. That is the one just finished during the Thanksgiving week. Then there is the Reach out offering which is directed to the Texas Southern Baptist work That offering takes place at Easter time. All money given in these offerings goes in its entirety to the mission board for distribution to ministries in their respective areas. The pantry will be open next Thursday for the first time in December. The second time will be 17th of December. That will be in time to help folks enjoy Christmas Dinner. The Pantry is still asking for donations to help buy the food that is purchased in Tyler at a great reduction of price from the store price. The month of November we dispensed food to 690 persons in 240 families. Hopefully these were all from Leon County. The “signs of the times” indicate that the one world government is on the way to being realized and indicating that time is short for this world. Soon the tribulation period will begin and seven years later Christ will come back to Earth to begin His 1000 year millennial reign. Are you ready??? If not you are on the spot and you must act quickly. Soon it may be too late. Come on by North Creek and someone will be glad to show you how to inherit internal life. “See ya there”.
