Zelneisha Lockett and Haley Ellison each managed a bucket. Emily Grissett tacked on a free throw. Thursday’s matchup was more of the same except Mexia had pulled three freshmen from their varsity squad for the tournament. The Lady Black Cats scored a 45-16 win over Buffalo. Ellison and Lott each scored five points for the Lady Bison. Grissett popped in four points, and Kylan Armstrong scored two. Buffalo defeated China Springs in pool play on Thursday, 31-14.
