BJHS Girls defeat C’ville

Chelsea Brewer works her way past CJHS defender Lexie Wall. The junior high Lady Bison opened the 2009-10 season with wins over Centerville Monday night. The seventh grade won 30-8 over the Lady Tigers while the eighth graders secured a 26- 12 victory. Centerville won a late-scheduled B contest.

Marissa Jones scored 14 points to lead all scorers in the seventh grade game. Macey Jonas and Emma Shaw each bucketed four points while Taryn Morman and Lauren Helmcamp each scored three points. Karina Sotelo added two.

The Laningham sisters, Hannah and Hailey combined for twenty-two points in the eighth grade game. Shelby Ballard popped in four points. Katie Glick, Evan Jones and Chelsea Brewer were defensive standouts.

Buffalo was to host Anderson-Shiro Monday night.
