Buffalo police arrest local man in alleged gun point robbery

On Sunday afternoon, Lt. Craig Jefferson received November 22, 2009, Buffalo Police officers arrested Anthony Duwon Robinson, (AKA Nookie), on Legalley Street on an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Robbery. Officer Bill Hutchison had obtained the warrant for Robinson after a victim came forward and reported being robbed at gunpoint by Robinson inside the City of Buffalo. a tip that Robinson was seen in a gray Ford Mustang with custom rims being driven by a Hispanic male. Lt Jefferson contacted Sgt. Ferrand and Corporal Mata and advised them of the information and the area in which Robinson had been seen.

Lt. Jefferson located the vehicle near the corner of Legalley St. and John H. Bullock. Robinson was seen exiting the vehicle and walking towards a house. Corporal Mata and Sgt Ferrand were advised of the location. Lt. Jefferson held the Suspect at gunpoint until back-up arrived.

Corporal Mata and Sgt. Ferrand arrived on location almost immediately. Corporal Mata took Robinson into custody and transported him to the Leon County Jail where he was booked in on the Aggravated Robbery Charge. A bond was set at $30,000.

Aggravated Robbery is a 1st Degree Felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison.
