Congratulations to Coach Jason Evans and the team for a great season and a season record of 40-4. Evans took a young team with three seniors and molded them into a playoff team. Good luck to the seniors: Kendle Charlton, Jentry Clary, and Elissa Downey as they completed 4 very good years at Leon. The team returns a good nucleus and with a good junior varsity team this year will be a solid contender in district next year. Coach Evans had assistant coaches Vickie Carrigan, Deanna Engleman, Duece Foley, and J.D. Foley who helped with the varsity and junior varsity teams. Several of the young ladies will be on the basketball team coached by J.D. Foley. Good luck on the basketball court. A special thanks to Vicki Carrigan who provided stats from each game to this reporter. |
