OISD Honors Veterans with Breakfast

Contributed photo by Johnnie Brogdon Oakwood schools held a special breakfast in the library on Wednesday to honor local Veterans. Children were encouraged to invite any and all family members who are Veterans to the join them for breakfast.

The breakfast was a great success! Both elementary and junior/senior high school students munched away on lots of goodies with their fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers. The turn out was better than expected and so was the response by the students and the Veterans. It looks like Oakwood may have stumbled onto another wonderful tradition to carry over year after year.
