Fundraiser for Judy's House a HUGE success

The weather cooperated with a lovely fall day that brought out many buyers looking for a bargain, they were not disappointed. Words can not express our thanks to the multitude of families that donated clothing, household items, and furniture to help restore and maintain Judy's House. Thank you Jerry, Jeff, Tina, Bobby, and James who moved furniture. Dr Jonas for donating storage spaces to hold furniture until sale day. Pruitt's Cleaners for an unending supply of clothes hangers, the Leon County Newspapers for articles covering the Fundraiser, J.D. Morris and Wendy Morris Holcomb for the sign. To the ladies in the support group who helped sort and price items for sale. A special thank you to Jerry Ansley for the donated 4 wheeler sold by silent auction bids, to Wain Glass for the winning bid of $900.00. The final count is in, the total is $2646.00. Last but not least to Doc Holladay, Jenny, Cheryl, and Isabel for the untold hours of preparing for the sale.

Many people have asked what is needed for Judy's House? We will be putting together a list of items needed and do an article when we are closer to having the house ready for use. The outpouring of help has been beyond what the Advocates and Support Group ever dreamed possible, but when you involve God nothing is impossible.

We will keep you posted on the progress of Judy's House. Once again THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who helped in anyway, you now have a part in curbing Domestic/ Family Violence in Leon County. You are an important part of this ministry as we are totally funded by churches, organizations, and private citizens . Together we can continue to "CHANGE LIVES ONE FAMILY AT A TIME" !!!
