Local rancher gets trophy buck

He was hunting on Two J’s Ranch near Grapeland when a 240 pound, 14 point buck came into view at 210 yards. Haneline took the magnificent ani- mal with his Browning-White Gold Medallion-300 WSM with Winchester 150 grain Silver Ballistic tip ammo.

Inside spread on the 14 point rack measured 21 7/8” and main beams measured 241/8”. Scoring information by Texas Parks and Wildlife Biologist gave the deer a gross score of 183 7/8 BC. Official score sheet will be received in December. Reflecting on the experience of the hunt, Haneline stated “I thank God for allowing me to take such a magnificent animal”. He also thanked the Two J’s Ranch owners, John and Jewel Cater, for the opportunity to hunt a ranch with such excellent facilities and hospitality.
