Buffalo Police Report
Sgt Ferrand to IH 45 for rollover crash. While traveling northbound on IH45, officer witnessed a vehicle strike the cable barrier then skid across the highway and roll over. Officer turned around and proceeded back to assist. DPS was notified. Ambulance and fire department were also called to the scene. Driver appeared to be ok. Officer gave statement to DPS regarding what he had witnessed.
Officer Hutchison to Cedar Creek for verbal domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officer spoke with subject who advised that there was no problem. Officer then met with other subject who said other person was upset but no physical assault had occurred. Parties were separated and officer transported first subject to a motel. Call cleared.
Officer Hutchison to IH 45 for reckless driver. Officer located vehicle and followed. Vehicle did not appear to be driving recklessly. Dispatch advised.
Officer Hutchison to Jewett for agency assist. Officer was contacted by Jewett PD Officer O’Riley regarding vehicle he had stopped. Officer administered field sobriety test to an occupant in the vehicle.
Sgt Ferrand to Commerce Street for criminal mischief by juvenile complaint. Officer called to confirm address and was advised that the call was in Centerville. Called cleared as referred to proper agency.
Sgt Ferrand & Officer Hutchison to Commerce Street for possible intoxicated driver. Sgt Ferrand located vehicle in question in traffic. He then radioed Officer Hutchison who was able to intercept vehicle. When Sgt Ferrand arrived upon scene, Officer Hutchison advised him that a truck pulling a trailer with a flat tire on it had passed and he feared it may cause an accident. Sgt left scene to pursue the vehicle. Officer Hutchison took driver into custody for DWI after refusing field sobriety test. Sgt Ferrand returned to assist Officer Hutchison with vehicle inventory while he transported subject to LCSO jail.
Sgt Ferrand to Commerce Street for stranded motorist. While on a traffic stop, officer was approached by subject that advised their vehicle had broken down in the Brookshire Brothers parking lot. They had called for help but it had yet to arrive and cell phone battery was dead so they could not call to check. Officer allowed subject to us his cell phone to leave a message for her help. Officer offered assistance but subject said they would wait for others to arrive. Officer returned later to check on subject and help had arrived.
Sgt Ferrand to Commerce Street for business alarm. Upon arrival, officer noticed several employees outside the business but customers were inside in line. Officer was advised that an employee had activated alarm due to a fight in the parking lot at the fuel pumps. Vehicle involved in the fight had left the scene. Officer advised employee not to push alarm but to use phone to call for help if such an incident should occur again. Officer searched area for vehicle described but unable to locate.
Sgt Ferrand to IH45 for vehicle crash. Crash report filed.
Sgt Ferrand to Commerce Street for loud music. Upon arrival, officer observed several subjects around a vehicle with its radio on. Officer located the owner and advised him to turn the music down. Subject complied. Manager arrived and was advised of the call.
Sgt Ferrand to Gore Street for possible intoxicated female at apartments. Officer was flagged down and advised that a subject in the apartment parking lot appeared to be intoxicated. Upon arrival, officer was unable to locate anyone fitting the description.
Sgt Ferrand & Cpl Mata to Highway 75 for welfare concern. LCSO was notified by subject that elderly male resident’s door to home had been open for hours. Upon arrival, officers found residence door closed but door to vehicle was open. Officer made contact with the resident who didn’t realize he had left the door open.
Sgt Ferrand & Officer Haynie to Lanely Street for welfare concern. Upon arrival, officers spoke with resident regarding juvenile that she felt had been abandoned by parent. CPS was called and officer found that a case was ongoing regarding this issue. Officers and CPS worker spoke with parent and juvenile separately. It was determined by CPS worker that they could leave and case would be referred to CPS in the location to which they were moving. Parent and juvenile left the scene.
Officer Mouton to IH 45 for rollover crash. Upon arrival, officer located a van and trailer blocking both northbound lanes. No injuries were noted and Freestone County SO was notified. Officer stayed until deputy could arrive. Once damaged vehicle and trailer were removed from the roadway and traffic restored, officer cleared the scene.
Officer Mouton to IH 45 for possible intoxicated driver. Officer located vehicle and followed it for a short time before pulling it over. Driver was not under the influence but appeared to be fatigued. Driver issued a warning citation and released.
Officer Mouton to Oakwood for agency assist. LCSO contacted officer to assist Deputy Tomlinson regarding a disturbance call where male subject had fled scene on foot after resisting arrest. Suspect was located and arrested. Call cleared.
