Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy F. Davis, age 72, will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009, at 11:00a.m. at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Jewett. Bro. Tony Roberts, Mr. Davis’ son-in-law, will officiate. For the second year in a row, the BHS football team made the playoffs, much to the delight of Bison fans. Unfortunately, for the second year in a row, Buffalo drew Newton in their first playoff game and that team is now ranked among the top four teams in the state. COLLEGE STATION - - In some areas, rains let up and fields dried, allowing agricultural producers to get back into fields for planting and harvesting, according to Texas AgriLife Extension Service personnel.   In many areas, producers were either waiting for fields to dry out to plant winter pasture or try to take one last cutting of hay.   More...
