Wesley June Cass
Funeral services for Wesley June Cass, age 88 of Oakwood, Texas were held 10:30 A.M. Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Wayne Bell officiated the services. Graveside services were held 2:30 PM in the Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery, Conroe, Texas. Walters Buffalo Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Cass was born in Davison County, South Dakota on May 22, 1921 to Lorne R. and Zella (Wood) Cass. He was in the Army Air Corp during World War 11. He attended A&M University for two years, and he worked as a Postal Clerk for the U.S. Government. He and his wife were married twenty two years, and they owned a RV and traveled for seventeen years. They belonged to camping clubs and met many people. They enjoyed dancing of all kinds but especially ballroom dancing. He grew pine trees and hay on his ranch, and he was a NASCAR and football fan. He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Bonnie Leht, and by wives, Frances (Mosty) Cass and Nita Cass. He passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 in Oakwood, Texas.
June is survived by his wife, Margie Cass of Oakwood, Texas; his son and daughter- in-law Paul and Judy Cass of Corpus Christi, Texas; his step-children, Kay Strohbehn and husband, Jon of Houston, Texas, Bryan Ellis and wife, Stacey of Irving, Texas, and Claudia Downing and husband, Paul of Montgomery, Texas; one brother, Lorne Cass of Arizona; nine grandchildren, Wesley, Scott, Julie, Brian, David, Mark, Martin, Morgan, and Brittany.
Funeral services were under the direction of Wal- ters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo.
